영어공부 하시나요? 저도 그렇습니다. 시트콤 <프렌즈>를 10회 시청을 목표로 8회 차 정주행 중입니다. 가장 먼저 무자막, 그다음엔 영어 자막, 그리고 영어 자막과 한국어 자막을 켜고 보다가, 쉐도잉 하면서 어휘와 이디엄을 찾고 있습니다. 구동사도 추가했지요. 처음에는 10회 차까지 반복하게 되면 무척 질릴 것이라고 생각했습니다. 분명 그런 시간이 있었지만, 이제는 정이 들어서 또 봐도 재밌고, 여전히 새롭게 보이는 부분이 있고, 시즌10이 끝나면 아쉽기도 합니다. 작별인사 하면서 울기도 몇 번 울었습니다. 이처럼 <프렌즈>와 코드가 어느 정도 맞고, 꼭 반복해서 봐야겠다는 의지가 충만합니다. 서론은 줄이고, 공부하며 알게 된 어휘나 이디엄을 한 회당 3개 정도 공유합니다. :)

시즌 5: 2화 "키스할까요?" 줄거리 ▼
모니카와 챈들러는 친구들 눈을 피해 몰래 데이트를 즐깁니다. 챈들러가 실수로 친구들이 다 있는 상황에서 모니카에게 키스하고, 이를 무마하려고 모든 여자 친구들에게 키스를 하고 말입니다. 로스는 결혼했지만 에밀리의 얼굴을 코빼기도 볼 수 없었습니다. 레이첼은 로스의 꼬드김에 넘어가 그리스로 혼자 여행을 떠나고 돌아옵니다. 모니카가 말리는데도 불구하고 끝끝내 로스에게 자신의 마음을 고백합니다. 아직 로스를 사랑하고 있다는 말입니다. 로스는 어떻게 반응했을까요? 한편, 피비는 친구들이 런던 얘기만 하는 것에 토라졌다가, 다같이 여행을 떠나기로 한 날에 양수가 터져서 출산하러 갑니다.
Rachel returns from Greece, telling Ross she had a great time but is actually livid that he abandoned her on the plane. Ross attempts to reconcile with Emily who refuses to speak to him. Rachel wants Monica to make all her romance decisions, but ultimately ignores her. Once back home, Monica and Chandler are caught kissing, so Chandler kisses all the girls to cover up their budding relationship. Phoebe feels left out when the other friends talk non-stop about their London trip. Feeling guilty over this, the gang plan a weekend trip to Atlantic City, but just as they are about to leave, Phoebe's water breaks, so instead they head to the hospital.

I can't catch a break. 밖에 나가서 걸으려다가 레이첼이 밖에 비온다고 얘기하자 투덜대는 로스catch a break: to have some luck or a lucky opportunity.
can't catch a break는 되는 일이 없네~ 정도로 해석
