프렌즈 시즌5: 3화 영어 표현 steal someone's thunder, feel someone out

영어공부 하시나요? 저도 그렇습니다. 시트콤 <프렌즈>를 10회 시청을 목표로 8회 차 정주행 중입니다. 가장 먼저 무자막, 그다음엔 영어 자막, 그리고 영어 자막과 한국어 자막을 켜고 보다가, 쉐도잉 하면서 어휘와 이디엄을 찾고 있습니다. 구동사도 추가했지요. 처음에는 10회 차까지 반복하게 되면 무척 질릴 것이라고 생각했습니다. 분명 그런 시간이 있었지만, 이제는 정이 들어서 또 봐도 재밌고, 여전히 새롭게 보이는 부분이 있고, 시즌10이 끝나면 아쉽기도 합니다. 작별인사 하면서 울기도 몇 번 울었습니다. 이처럼 <프렌즈>와 코드가 어느 정도 맞고, 꼭 반복해서 봐야겠다는 의지가 충만합니다. 서론은 줄이고, 공부하며 알게 된 어휘나 이디엄을 한 회당 3개 정도 공유합니다. :)

시즌 5: 3 화 "100번째 이야기" 줄거리 ▼

피비는 세쌍둥이를 출산하러 병원에 갑니다. 원래 그녀를 담당하던 의사가 사고로 병원에 오지 못하지, 피비를 담당하는 새로운 의사가 왔는데 그는 내내 폰지 얘기만을 합니다. 의사를 바꾸려고 시도했지만 마땅히 없어서 폰지 의사와 세 쌍둥이를 출산하게 됩니다. 조이는 신장결석으로 고생하고, 피비는 세쌍둥이 중 한명을 자신이 데리고 키우고 싶어합니다. 레이첼을 부추겨 프랭크에게 세쌍둥이는 너무 많지 않겠냐며 물어보라고 하지만 프랭크는 자신만의 밴드를 만들 생각에 빠져있습니다. 결국 피비는 세쌍둥이 전부와 작별하고 쿨한 고모 피비로 남기로 합니다.

 

In an attempt to get over Ross, Rachel asks out two male nurses for her and Monica. This causes friction between Monica and Chandler, with Chandler reacting as if he does not care. In the delivery room, Phoebe frets about her Fonzie-obsessed doctor. Joey, who they think is only experiencing sympathy pain from Phoebe's labor, is diagnosed with kidney stones and admitted to the hospital. After giving birth to Frank and Alice's triplets: Frank Jr. Jr, Leslie, and Chandler, Phoebe has difficulty giving them up.
