프렌즈 시즌6: 1화 영어 표현 marriage material, joke is on someone, my thing

영어공부 하시나요? 저도 그렇습니다. 시트콤 <프렌즈>를 10회 시청을 목표로 8회 차 정주행 중입니다. 가장 먼저 무자막, 그다음엔 영어 자막, 그리고 영어 자막과 한국어 자막을 켜고 보다가, 쉐도잉 하면서 어휘와 이디엄을 찾고 있습니다. 구동사도 추가했지요. 처음에는 10회 차까지 반복하게 되면 무척 질릴 것이라고 생각했습니다. 분명 그런 시간이 있었지만, 이제는 정이 들어서 또 봐도 재밌고, 여전히 새롭게 보이는 부분이 있고, 시즌10이 끝나면 아쉽기도 합니다. 작별인사 하면서 울기도 몇 번 울었습니다. 이처럼 <프렌즈>와 코드가 어느 정도 맞고, 꼭 반복해서 봐야겠다는 의지가 충만합니다. 서론은 줄이고, 공부하며 알게 된 어휘나 이디엄을 한 회당 3개 정도 공유합니다. :)

시즌 6: 1화 "취중결혼" 줄거리 ▼

로스와 레이첼은 한 침대에서 일어나지만 지난밤에 무슨 일이 있었는지 기억하지 못합니다. 친구들이 언급해줘서 자신들이 결혼식을 올렸다는 걸 알게되죠. 레이첼은 로스에게 혼인 무효를 신청하자고 제안하고, 로스는 이를 수긍하는듯 싶더니 자신의 이혼 경력이 부담스러워 하지 않겠다고 합니다. 한편 모니카와 챈들러는 결혼을 암시하는 사인들이 곳곳에 나타나서 외면하려고 하는데 결국 솔직하게 서로에게 털어놓습니다. 아직 결혼은 이른것 같다고 말입니다. 그러다 챈들러가 동거를 제안하고 모니카는 기쁘게 승낙합니다.

 

In Vegas, Ross and Rachel initially have no memory of getting married the previous night, then must deal with the aftermath of their drunken escapade. Phoebe and Joey drive back to New York in Phoebe's cab. She becomes angry when Joey sleeps most of the way rather than playing his promised fun road trip games; she unnerves Joey by picking up a hitchhiker while he was napping. Back at home, Monica and Chandler ponder the idea of marriage and decide to take their relationship forward a step by living together.
