프렌즈 시즌6 : 14화 get back at somebody

시트콤 <프렌즈>로 영어공부 하신다고요? 저도 그렇습니다. 10회 시청을 목표로 7회 차 정주행 중입니다. 처음엔 무자막, 그다음엔 영어 자막, 그리고 영어 자막과 한국어 자막을 켜고 보다가, 쉐도잉 하고, 어휘와 이디엄을 찾고 있습니다.
이렇게 봐도 봐도 재밌고, 새롭게 보이는 부분도  있고, 아직도 배우는 부분이 있다는 게 놀랍기도 한데요. 그만큼 <프렌즈>와 코드가 어느 정도 맞고, 꼭 반복해서 봐야겠다는 의지가 충만합니다. 서론은 줄이고, 공부하며 알게 된 어휘나 이디엄을 공유합니다. ^^

시즌 6: 14화 "챈들러의 눈물" 줄거리 ▼
함께 슬픈 영화를 봐도 눈물을 보이지 않는 챈들러! 친구들은 그의 감정이 메말랐다며 놀리고 챈들러는 아무렇지 않게 받아들입니다. 다만 몰래 '영혼을 위한 닭고기 수프'를 읽고 그 모습을 본 모니카는 그에게 괜찮다고 다독이며 한 가지 이야기를 들려줍니다. 만약 자신이 죽어도 눈물 한 방울 안 흘릴 거냐는 물음이었죠. 과연 챈들러는 울었을까요? 한편 레이첼의 동생 질은 로스를 만나지 말라는 언니의 얘기에 보란 듯이 그의 집에 다시 찾아갑니다. 그걸 본 레이첼은 로스에게 전화를 걸어 그녀의 동생이 로스를 이용하는 것이라며 경고합니다. 그 얘기를 들은 질은 로스에게 기습키스를 하고요.

조이는 커피 하우스에서 피비의 팬이라는 남자를 만납니다. 그는 피비가 포르노 스타라는 얘기를 하고, 놀란 조이는 카페 주인 건터에게 그 남자를 커피 하우스에 들이지 말라고 경고하는데 건터 또한 피비의 포르노를 봤다고 수긍합니다. 조이는 피비가 나온 것으로 보이는 포르노를 빌려서 친구들과 함께 시청하려고 하는데, 정작 조이는 보지를 못하고 뒤돌아섭니다. 하지만 친구들이 그 포르노 스타가 피비가 아니라 어설라라는 것을 발견하고 조이는 신나게 포르노를 감상합니다. 머지않아 피비가 등장하고, 자신이 포르노에서 무엇을 하고 있는지 놀라면서 사실을 알게 됩니다. 그렇게 어설라를 찾아가게 됩니다...^^

Chandler claims there is little that makes him cry, resulting in the friends trying everything to break him down. Larry Joe Campbell appears as Phoebe's fan asking for her autograph and then tells Joey she is a porn star. Phoebe discovers that Ursula is making pornographic movies under Phoebe's name. Phoebe gets her back by having Ursula's paychecks sent to her own address. Ross and Jill begin dating, although it soon becomes clear that Jill's motive is only to spite Rachel.

I guess it kind of makes sense, though.

Chandler: Okay.
Well, I won't worry about this anymore, then.

Monica: Yeah, and, you know, if I die
from a long lillness,
and you're wrting out my eulogy
and you open the desk drawer
and find a note from me that says
"I will always be with you."
and you stll can't shed one tiny tear?
I know you'll be crying a river inside.

I just don't see why those two can't work things out. (서로를 생각하는 로스와 레이첼의 마음을 보며 챈들러가 눈물 흘리며 말한다)
