프렌즈 시즌6 : 10화 영어 표현 old news, be onto somebody

시트콤 <프렌즈>로 영어공부 하신다고요? 저도 그렇습니다. 10회 시청을 목표로 7회 차 정주행 중입니다. 처음엔 무자막, 그다음엔 영어 자막, 그리고 영어 자막과 한국어 자막을 켜고 보다가, 쉐도잉 하고, 어휘와 이디엄을 찾고 있습니다.
이렇게 봐도 봐도 재밌고, 새롭게 보이는 부분도  있고, 아직도 배우는 부분이 있다는 게 놀랍기도 한데요. 그만큼 <프렌즈>와 코드가 어느 정도 맞고, 꼭 반복해서 봐야겠다는 의지가 충만합니다. 서론은 줄이고, 공부하며 알게 된 어휘나 이디엄을 공유합니다. ^^

시즌 6: 10화 "추억의 댄스" 줄거리 ▼
크리스마스 맞이에 한창인 친구들. 트리도 꾸미고, 선문도 준비합니다. 조이의 룸메이트, 댄서 재닌이 새해 특집 방송에 댄서로 출연하게 되고, 파트너를 데려오라는 얘기에 조이와 로스와 모니카는 함께 합니다. 마침 갤러 남매가 어릴 적 부터 챙겨보던 방송이었기에 매우 기뻐합니다.

신나게 춤추지만 서로 원하는 목적이 다릅니다. 로스와 모니카는 방송에 나오고 싶어서 혈안이고, 조이는 재닌과 춤추고 싶다는 생각에 들떠 있죠. 카메라를 향해 춤을 선보여도 외면 당하기 일쑤였던 갤러 남매는 과거 '그 루틴'을 선보입니다. 드디어 방송에  실리나 싶었지만 알고보니 그건 NG 모음에 나갈 분량이었습니다. 파티에서 재닌과 키스 할 줄 알았지만 아쉽게도 컷 소리에 하지 못하게 된 조이는 집에 돌아와 재닌과 해피 뉴 이어 키스를 합니다.  그렇게 두 사람은 행복한 커플이 됩니다. 

집에서 모니카가 숨겨놓은 크리스마스 선물을 찾는 레이첼과 피비는 챈들러를 꼬득여 함께 합니다. 한창 열을 올리며 집안을 뒤지는 세 사람은 소파 밑에서 메이시스 백을 하나 발견합니다. 그건 모니카의 함정이었고,  뒤져도 뒤져도 못찾던 친구들은 모니카의 선물대신에 챈들러의 선물을 찾습니다.  마침내 레이첼이 안이 빈 벤치에서 모니카의 선물을 발견하고, 챈들러는 마지막에 선택을 바꿔 선물을 열어보지 말자고 친구들을 설득합니다. 그러나 모니카에게 들키고 말죠.

Janine is appearing in the pre-recorded Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve, and invites Joey, Ross, and Monica to participate in the dancing. While there, Joey wants to ensure a kiss with Janine at midnight, while Monica and Ross wrangle their way onto camera by doing "The Routine", their old high school dance. Meanwhile, Phoebe, Chandler, and Rachel search for Monica's Christmas presents so they can buy her something suitable in return.

He's the one who decideds who gets up on the platform.
We should go dance by him.

Ross: Okay.

Ross: So do we really need to ask
who's going up on the platform next?

Snippy guy:  Oh, no. You get up there 
and do that again exactly like that.

Monica, Ross: Yes!!

Snippy guy: (카메라맨에게)Make sure you get this.
They're gonna want it for the bloopers show.

 
Blooper:

• The second disc included a trivia game, bloopers, premiers, deleted scenes, interviews, trailers and teasers and the making of the film and songs.

(모니카의 크리스마스 선물을 계속해서 찾던 레이첼과 피비)

Rachel: Hey.
This is hollow.

Phoebe: What?

Rachel: This bench, it's hollow. 
I can't believe I never knew that!
Oh, the presents!

Phoebe: Oh, no! Don't look directly at them!
