클로즈 이너프 시즌1 : 6화 영어 표현 cramped, peel, wad, busted

애니메이션 <클로즈 이너프>는 30대 부부와 아이의 일상을 담은 콘텐츠로, 실생활에 도움이 되는 표현이 많이 나옵니다. 갑자기 왜 애니메이션을 보는지 궁금하신 분들도 있을 겁니다.  올해 10회 차 정주행 하기로 한 시트콤 <프렌즈>를 잠시 멈추고, 리프레시할 겸 가볍게 골랐습니다. 방법은 간단합니다. 가장 먼저 영어 자막, 그리고 한영자막 동시에, 마지막으로 쉐도잉 하면서 어휘와 이디엄을 찾고 있습니다. 애니메니션의 장점은 재밌고, 짧다는 것인데요. 시청해보니 꽤나 표현이 쏠쏠합니다. 서론은 줄이고, 공부하며 알게 된 어휘나 이디엄을 한 회당 3개 공유합니다. :)

시즌 1: 6화 "애들아, 잘가/ 이렇게 손뼉쳐요 " 줄거리 ▼

임신했을지 걱정하던 에밀리와 조시 부부! 상의 끝에 조시의 정관 수술을 받기로 합니다. 그러나 에밀리는 캔디스의 옷을 정리하면서 너무 섣불리 판단을 한 게 아닌지 후회를 하면서 조시의 수술을 말리러 찾아가고, 조시는 병원에서 이상한 일에 휩싸입니다.

조시는 손뼉을 치는 게임을 개발했는데, 팔아서 부자가 되는 줄 알았습니다. 그러나 거래가 취소되어 게임은 팔리지 않았고, 사이드잡까지 병행하면서 가족들을 실망시키지 않기 위해 노력합니다. 브지리트는 스물여섯이 된 기념으로 생활비가 끊겨서 일을 해야 했는데요. 브리지트가 일하는 포에버 23 가게의 밤은 어딘지 수상합니다.

"So Long Boys": After having a pregnancy scare, Josh agrees to have a vasectomy and brings Alex to the procedure. They discover that the facility is corrupt and Josh begins to have doubts just as Emily does so as well. At the facility, they meet two teens whom Alex is convinced are his offspring.

"Clap Like This": Josh manages to sell his game Clap Like This as he, Emily, and Candice will now be rich. When the deal falls through, Josh is forced to pick up extra shifts at his old job in secret. Meanwhile, Bridgette is financially cut off at 26 and gets a job at a clothing store where the mannequins come to life.
