영어공부 하시나요? 저도 그렇습니다. 시트콤 <프렌즈>를 10회 시청을 목표로 8회 차 정주행 중입니다. 가장 먼저 무자막, 그다음엔 영어 자막, 그리고 영어 자막과 한국어 자막을 켜고 보다가, 쉐도잉 하면서 어휘와 이디엄을 찾고 있습니다. 처음에는 10회 차까지 반복하게 되면 무척 질릴 것이라고 생각했습니다. 분명 그런 시간이 있었지만, 이제는 정이 들어서 또 봐도 재밌고, 여전히 새롭게 보이는 부분이 있고, 시즌10이 끝나면 아쉽기도 합니다. 작별인사 하면서 울기도 몇 번 울었습니다. 이처럼 <프렌즈>와 코드가 어느 정도 맞고, 꼭 반복해서 봐야겠다는 의지가 충만합니다. 서론은 줄이고, 공부하며 알게 된 어휘나 이디엄을 한 회당 3개 정도 공유합니다. :)

시즌 3: 11화 "조이의 여동생들 " 줄거리 ▼
조이의 생일 파티에 여동생들이 옵니다. 챈들러는 제니스와 헤어지고 상심함이 지속되던 중, 술에 취해 조이의 여동생 한 명과 자게 됩니다. 그러나 어느 여동생이었는지 기억이 나지 않아 문제입니다. 레이첼은 패션 회사에 들어갔지만 커피만 타고, 가까스로 맡게 된 패션 관련 업무가 옷걸이 정리임에 실망하고 불평을 털어놓습니다. 모니카의 가게에서 투덜대던 그녀의 곁에 마크라는 패션계 직원이 우연히 앉아 그 얘기를 듣다가 레이첼에게 블루밍데일에 자리가 날 지도 모르겠다며 연락처를 주고 갑니다. 일요일 밤까지 연락이 안 오자 실망하던 레이첼은 모니카의 응원에 힘입어 마크에게 직접 연락을 하고, 결국 인터뷰를 통과합니다. 한편, 챈들러는 조이의 여동생, 메리 엔젤라에게 아직 누군가와 교제할 단계가 아닌 것 같다며 이야기하러 그녀의 집으로 방문합니다. 그곳에는 조이를 비롯해서 조이의 다른 여동생들까지 함께 있던 상황. 챈들러는 메리 엔젤라가 누군지 몰라 당황합니다. 과연 챈들러는 메리 엔젤라를 찾을 수 있을까요?
Monica and Rachel's noisy upstairs neighbor is excessively charming. Phoebe confronts him about the noise and ends up dating him. The Monica and Rachel become uncomfortable when they later hear all of Phoebe's intimate upstairs activities. Rachel is frustrated with her new job of making coffee all day and sorting hangers. When Rachel vents her frustration to Monica at the diner, a customer named Mark mentions a vacancy in his department at Bloomingdale's and arranges an interview. Rachel gets the job, but Ross suspects Mark has ulterior motives for recommending her. A drunken Chandler fools around with one of Joey's sisters, but later cannot remember which one, angering Joey.

All right, be my guest. 위층에 시끄러운 남자에게 주의를 주려고 했지만 그가 너무 매력적이라 되려 사과하고 내려오게 된다고 얘기하는 모니카의 이야기를 듣더니 기가 차 하면서 직접 가서 조용히 하라고 얘기를 하겠다고 피비가 말한다. 그러자 모니카가 그렇게 하라고 쿨하게 얘기한다
But how can you not know which one? 조이의 자매 중에서 누구와 잤는지 모른다고 얘기하는 챈들러에게 어떻게 모를수 있냐고 묻는 피비
Look, Rach, I want only good things for you. 일요일 오후인데 여전히 마크가 전화를 안했다고 실망하는 레이첼에게 한마디 했더니 레이첼이 로스가 신나보인다고 얘기하자 아니라며 달래는 로스. 네가 잘 되기만을 바래
You've got to make stuff happen. 마크의 전화를 기다리다 실망한 레이첼에게 직접 전화해보라고 제안을 하는 모니카
He even offered to meet me for lunch and prep me for it. 마크가 심지어는 점심에 만나면접 준비도 도와주겠다고 제안해서 신난 레이첼
Then get over yourself and grow up. 마크에게 레이첼을 뺏길까봐 걱정하는 로스에게 레이첼을 못 믿냐며 철들라고 따끔하게 한 소리하는 모니카
Look, I may have jumped the gun here. I just got out of a relationship. And I'm not really in a.. in a commitment kind of place. 자신이 너무 서둘렀는지도 모르지만 지금은 누굴 사귈 처지가 아니라는 챈들러, 조이의 자매 중 한명이 챈들러에게 키스하려하자 그녀가 어젯밤에 키스한 메리 엔젤라인줄 알고 자신의 상황을 털어놓는다
