영어공부 하시나요? 저도 그렇습니다. 시트콤 <프렌즈>를 10회 시청을 목표로 8회 차 정주행 중입니다. 가장 먼저 무자막, 그다음엔 영어 자막, 그리고 영어 자막과 한국어 자막을 켜고 보다가, 쉐도잉 하면서 어휘와 이디엄을 찾고 있습니다. 처음에는 10회 차까지 반복하게 되면 무척 질릴 것이라고 생각했습니다. 분명 그런 시간이 있었지만, 이제는 정이 들어서 또 봐도 재밌고, 여전히 새롭게 보이는 부분이 있고, 시즌10이 끝나면 아쉽기도 합니다. 작별인사 하면서 울기도 몇 번 울었습니다. 이처럼 <프렌즈>와 코드가 어느 정도 맞고, 꼭 반복해서 봐야겠다는 의지가 충만합니다. 서론은 줄이고, 공부하며 알게 된 어휘나 이디엄을 한 회당 3개 정도 공유합니다. :)

시즌 3: 16화 "위기의 로스와 레이첼 2부" 줄거리 ▼
레이첼과 헤어진 줄 알고 복사점 직원 클로이와 자게 된 로스는 레이첼의 음성 메시지를 듣고 깜짝 놀랍니다. 그녀가 헤어지는 것은 말도 안 되는 바보 같은 생각과 같았다며 로스의 집을 출근길에 방문하겠다고 했기 때문입니다. 황급히 클로이를 보내고 레이첼을 맞이하려던 찰나에 레이첼이 제시간에 와서 급한 마음에 클로이는 문 뒤로 숨기고 레이첼을 맞이합니다.
로스는 레이첼과의 관계를 개선하려고 클로이와의 관계를 솔직하게 털어놓아야 할지 말 지 망설이다가 남자 친구들에게 물어봅니다. 조이와 챈들러는 그 사실에 대해 무덤까지 가져가야 한다며 말하지 말라고 충고합니다. 대신, 레이첼의 귀에 들어가지 않게 클로이에서 레이첼로 이어지는 소문의 경로를 막으라고 귀띔을 합니다. 경로를 추적해서 클로이와 레이첼에 이르는 인물들을 일일이 찾아가 봤지만, 결국 레이첼은 커피하우스에서 건터에 의해 그 사실을 접하고 맙니다. 레이첼은 노발대발 화를 내고 로스에게 쉽사리 마음이 풀어지지 않는 상황에서 두 사람은 과연 어떤 결말을 맞이할까요?
Rachel calls Ross the next morning saying she wants to get back together. Ross rushes Chloe out of his apartment before Rachel arrives, then frantically runs around trying to cover up the trail leading to his and Chloe's tryst. Rachel discovers the truth from Gunther, and she and Ross have a huge fight as the other four friends listen in from Monica's bedroom. Ross is desperate for forgiveness, but Rachel refuses and ends the relationship, leaving both devastated.
