영어공부 하시나요? 저도 그렇습니다. 시트콤 <프렌즈>를 10회 시청을 목표로 8회 차 정주행 중입니다. 가장 먼저 무자막, 그다음엔 영어 자막, 그리고 영어 자막과 한국어 자막을 켜고 보다가, 쉐도잉 하면서 어휘와 이디엄을 찾고 있습니다. 구동사도 추가했지요. 처음에는 10회 차까지 반복하게 되면 무척 질릴 것이라고 생각했습니다. 분명 그런 시간이 있었지만, 이제는 정이 들어서 또 봐도 재밌고, 여전히 새롭게 보이는 부분이 있고, 시즌10이 끝나면 아쉽기도 합니다. 작별인사 하면서 울기도 몇 번 울었습니다. 이처럼 <프렌즈>와 코드가 어느 정도 맞고, 꼭 반복해서 봐야겠다는 의지가 충만합니다. 서론은 줄이고, 공부하며 알게 된 어휘나 이디엄을 한 회당 3개 정도 공유합니다. :)

시즌 5: 20 화 "구사일생의 밤" 줄거리 ▼

피비의 경찰 남자친구 개리와 함께 경찰차를 타고 ride-along에 나선 친구들은 셋이서 나란히 뒷자석에 앉게 됩니다. 예상치 못한 자동차 뒷바퀴 터지는 소리에 놀란 세사람. 그런데 조이가 챈들러 대신 로스 쪽으로 몸을 던집니다. 이에 챈들러는 실망하고, 로스는 조이가 자신을 구해주려했다며 기뻐합니다. 알고보니 로스쪽에 샌드위치가 있어서 조이가 본능적으로 몸을 던진 것이라고 해명합니다.

한편 로스와 이혼한 에밀리는 새로운 결혼 전날밤을 앞두고 로스에게 메시지를 남깁니다. 서로 너무 빨리 포기해 버린게 아닌지 아쉬운 소리를합니다. 마가리타 재료를 구하러온 레이첼이 로스보다 먼저 이 메시지를 듣게 되고, 과연 로스에게 솔직하게 전달할 것인지 메시지를 지워서 로스를 보호할 것인지 모니카와 궁리합니다. 실수로 메시지를 삭제하게 되는데 레이첼은 결국 솔직하게 메시지 내용을 전달합니다. 

 

The boys go on a ride-along with Phoebe's cop boyfriend, Gary. Mistaking a car backfiring for the sound of gunshots, Joey attempts to protect his meatball sandwich. Chandler then thinks Joey cares more about Ross than him. Meanwhile, while borrowing margarita ingredients from Ross' apartment, Rachel overhears Emily leaving a message saying she is having doubts about going through with her wedding and wants Ross to consider them getting back together. When Rachel accidentally deletes the message, she agonizes over telling Ross.
