프렌즈 시즌5:21화 영어 표현 inside out , for a second there

영어공부 하시나요? 저도 그렇습니다. 시트콤 <프렌즈>를 10회 시청을 목표로 8회 차 정주행 중입니다. 가장 먼저 무자막, 그다음엔 영어 자막, 그리고 영어 자막과 한국어 자막을 켜고 보다가, 쉐도잉 하면서 어휘와 이디엄을 찾고 있습니다. 구동사도 추가했지요. 처음에는 10회 차까지 반복하게 되면 무척 질릴 것이라고 생각했습니다. 분명 그런 시간이 있었지만, 이제는 정이 들어서 또 봐도 재밌고, 여전히 새롭게 보이는 부분이 있고, 시즌10이 끝나면 아쉽기도 합니다. 작별인사 하면서 울기도 몇 번 울었습니다. 이처럼 <프렌즈>와 코드가 어느 정도 맞고, 꼭 반복해서 봐야겠다는 의지가 충만합니다. 서론은 줄이고, 공부하며 알게 된 어휘나 이디엄을 한 회당 3개 정도 공유합니다. :)

시즌 5: 21화 "지금은 공놀이 중" 줄거리 ▼

개리는 피비에게 함께 살자고, 제안하고 피비는 너무 이른게 아니냐며 거절합니다. 그러나 그가 실망하는 모습을 보고 승낙했다가 의심을 지울수가 없어서 솔직히 이야기 하게 됩니다. 개리의 자상한 모습에 되려 반해서 함께 하룻밤을 보내는데, 그가 새가 노래하는 소리를 듣고 총으로 쏴서 죽이는 모습을 보고 헤어집니다. 한편, 친구들은 공을 던지고 놀다가 기록을 깨기위해 내내 주고 받습니다. 처음엔 로스와 조이 두 사람이 시작했지만, 모니카도 참여하게 되고, 승부욕이 불붙은 모니카가 공놀이를 끊임없이 지속하도록 푸시합니다.

 

Phoebe freaks out after learning Gary is planning to ask her to move in with him, which she is not ready for. Phoebe reluctantly agrees to move in, however the relationship quickly ends when Gary shoots a bird tweeting outside the bedroom window. Rachel buys a hairless Sphynx cat for $1,000 but quickly regrets her purchase when everyone mocks it and the cat continually hisses at and scratches her. She eventually unloads the creature on Gunther, making a profit. Ross and Joey pass time by tossing a ball back and forth, and subsequently try to see how long they can go without dropping the ball. Monica joins in, then Chandler, who is called a 'Dropper', joins in.

And I sweat I know this sounds crazy,
but every time this cat hisses at me
I know it's saying, "Rachel."

Ross: Doesn't sound as crazy
as paying a thousand dollars for a cat.
