프렌즈 시즌7: 8화 영어 표현 what good are you?

영어공부 하시나요? 저도 그렇습니다. 시트콤 <프렌즈>를 10회 시청을 목표로 8회 차 정주행 중입니다. 가장 먼저 무자막, 그다음엔 영어 자막, 그리고 영어 자막과 한국어 자막을 켜고 보다가, 쉐도잉 하면서 어휘와 이디엄을 찾고 있습니다. 구동사도 추가했지요. 처음에는 10회 차까지 반복하게 되면 무척 질릴 것이라고 생각했습니다. 분명 그런 시간이 있었지만, 이제는 정이 들어서 또 봐도 재밌고, 여전히 새롭게 보이는 부분이 있고, 시즌10이 끝나면 아쉽기도 합니다. 작별인사 하면서 울기도 몇 번 울었습니다. 이처럼 <프렌즈>와 코드가 어느 정도 맞고, 꼭 반복해서 봐야겠다는 의지가 충만합니다. 서론은 줄이고, 공부하며 알게 된 어휘나 이디엄을 한 회당 3개 정도 공유합니다. :)

시즌 7:8 화 "챈들러와 개" 줄거리 ▼

챈들러는 친구들에게 제한 시간 안에 미국의 50개 주의 이름을 쓰는 게임을 권유합니다. 로스는 이까짓거 껌이라는 태도로 달려들었다가 46개 밖에 쓰지 못하고, 그날 내내 생각나지 않는 이름을 떠올리며 밥도 안먹고 게임이 매달립니다. 피비는 잠시 여행간 친구의 개를 맡아 주면서 모니카의 집에서 몰래 보호하고 있었는데요. 챈들러는 개 알러지가 있다며 극성입니다. 

한편, 레이첼은 여자친구와 헤어진 태그에게 위로의 인사를 건내다가 조이의 실수로 그녀가 태그를 좋아하고 있다는 사실을 들키게 되는데요. 태그는 깜짝놀랬지만 알고보니 차량절도범들이 태그의 차를 훔쳐가는 중이라 놀란 것이었습니다. 차 문제를 해결하고 다시 마주하게 된 두 사람, 과연 태그는 레이첼의 마음을 받아주었을까요?!

 

Phoebe sneaks a dog into the apartment; Chandler reveals that he hates dogs. Ross becomes obsessed with naming all fifty U.S. states in order to earn his Thanksgiving dinner. After learning that Tag has broken up with his girlfriend and has nowhere to go for Thanksgiving, Rachel invites him to Monica’s and Chandler's apartment. She is hesitant to tell Tag that she has a crush on him.
