프렌즈 시즌8: 2화 영어 표현 be up for, call it even, take a picture of

영어공부 하시나요? 저도 그렇습니다. 시트콤 <프렌즈>를 10회 시청을 목표로 10회 차 정주행 중입니다. 가장 먼저 무자막, 그다음엔 영어 자막, 그리고 영어 자막과 한국어 자막을 켜고 보다가, 쉐도잉 하면서 어휘와 이디엄을 찾고 있습니다. 구동사도 추가했지요. 처음에는 10회 차까지 반복하게 되면 무척 질릴 것이라고 생각했습니다. 분명 그런 시간이 있었지만, 이제는 정이 들어서 또 봐도 재밌고, 여전히 새롭게 보이는 부분이 있고, 시즌10이 끝나면 아쉽기도 합니다. 작별인사 하면서 울기도 몇 번 울었습니다. 이처럼 <프렌즈>와 코드가 어느 정도 맞고, 꼭 반복해서 봐야겠다는 의지가 충만합니다. 서론은 줄이고, 공부하며 알게 된 어휘나 이디엄을 한 회당 3개 정도 공유합니다. :)

시즌 8: 2화 "빨간 스웨터의 비밀" 줄거리 ▼

임신한 사람은 레이첼이라는 사실을 조이도 알게 됐습니다. 친구들은 추리 끝에 레이첼의 집에 빨간 스웨터를 놓고간 남성이 레이첼이 임신한 아이의 아빠라고 짚어봅니다. 그 스웨터를 보자마자 피비는 뭔가를 안다면서 주인을 찾아나섭니다.

한편, 챈들러는 결혼식에서 사진 담당을 했지만 카메라를 잃어버리는 바람에 다시 예식장에 방문해서 모르는 사람의 예식에서 사진을 마구 찍어옵니다. 그러나 다행히 사진기는 모니카가 가져온 가방에 들어있었죠. 모니카는 결혼하면서 받은 선물을 혼자 다 뜯습니다.

Rachel refuses to reveal who the baby's father is until after she tells him. Joey tells Monica and Phoebe about an unknown guy who slept with Rachel a few weeks earlier and who left a red sweater behind. Phoebe thinks it is Tag Jones' sweater and arranges a meeting between him and Rachel. Ross and Chandler attempt to recreate the wedding reception pictures, after Chandler loses the disposable cameras. Monica opens all the wedding presents without waiting for Chandler. Monica, Joey, and Phoebe learn that Tag is not the father of Rachel's baby. As they are still pondering the mystery, Ross arrives and retrieves his "lost" red sweater, unaware of its significance.

Excuse me. Could you take a picture of us? 모르는 사람의 결혼식에서 로스와 사진 찍어달라고 모르는 사람에게 부탁하는 챈들러. 모니카가 사진 찍으라고 준 카메라를 잃어버린 바람에 로스와 짜고 다시 사진을 찍고 다니는 거였다.
Would you take one of us? 사진을 찍어준 사람들이 반대로 자신들의 사진도 한장 부탁하는데, 챈들러는 사진을 찍는 척만 하고 실제로는 사진을 찍지 않아서 사람들이 어이없어 하는 장면이 나온다
call it even? (모니카가 웨딩 선물을 다 뜯고 챈들러는 가짜 웨딩 사진을 찍으려고 모르는 여성과 키스한 것에 대해 퉁치자고 하는 챈들러)
