프렌즈 시즌1: 23화 영어 표현 fight over, cook up sth

영어공부 하시나요? 저도 그렇습니다. 시트콤 <프렌즈>를 10회 시청을 목표로 9회 차 정주행 중입니다. 가장 먼저 무자막, 그다음엔 영어 자막, 그리고 영어 자막과 한국어 자막을 켜고 보다가, 쉐도잉 하면서 어휘와 이디엄을 찾고 있습니다. 구동사도 추가했지요. 처음에는 10회 차까지 반복하게 되면 무척 질릴 것이라고 생각했습니다. 분명 그런 시간이 있었지만, 이제는 정이 들어서 또 봐도 재밌고, 여전히 새롭게 보이는 부분이 있고, 시즌10이 끝나면 아쉽기도 합니다. 작별인사 하면서 울기도 몇 번 울었습니다. 이처럼 <프렌즈>와 코드가 어느 정도 맞고, 꼭 반복해서 봐야겠다는 의지가 충만합니다. 서론은 줄이고, 공부하며 알게 된 어휘나 이디엄을 한 회당 3개 정도 공유합니다. :)

시즌 1: 23화 "아빠가 되다" 줄거리 ▼

마침내 로스와 친구들은 캐롤의 출산을 위해 병원에 모입니다. 그러나 캐롤과 수잔이 하도 다투는 바람에 두 사람을 중재시키는 피비를 포함해서 세 사람은 청소실에 갇힙니다. 그리고 벤이라는 이름을 보게 되고, 캐롤이 성공적으로 출산하여 아들 이름은 벤이 됩니다. 

Carol is in the hospital about to give birth, prompting Monica to think about having a baby. While Carol is in labor, Ross and Susan bicker over who gets to assist her more and about what to name the baby. Phoebe drags them into a small room to settle their differences but they get locked in. Rachel flirts with an OB/GYN who suffers burnout from seeing female anatomy every day. Joey assists a single expectant mother (played by Leah Remini) in labor. Ross and Susan settle their differences and propose naming the new baby boy, Ben, derived from a janitor's uniform. Carol likes the name.

And here's this little baby who has like three whole parents who care about it so much that they're fighting over who gets to love it the most, and it's not even born yet. 창고에 갇혀서 아웅다웅 하는 로스와 수잔을 두고 피비가 자신의 과거와 비교하면서 새로 태어날 아기가 얼마나 사랑받게 되는지 알려준다
