프렌즈 시즌3: 6화 영어 표현 sneak out, the third degree

시트콤 <프렌즈>를 10회 시청을 목표로 9회 차 정주행 중입니다. 처음에는 10회 차까지 반복하게 되면 무척 질릴 것이라고 생각했습니다. 분명 그런 시간이 있었지만, 이제는 정이 들어서 또 봐도 재밌고, 여전히 새롭게 보이는 부분이 있으며, 시즌10이 끝나면 아쉽기도 합니다. 무엇보다 반복할수록 눈에 들어오는 표현이 많아져 신기하고 보람 있습니다. 정주행 마치면 눈물도 나고요. 이처럼 <프렌즈>와 코드가 어느 정도 맞고, 꼭 반복하겠다는 의지가 충만한데요. 알게 된 어휘와 이디엄 그리고 기억하고 싶은 문장을 기록합니다. :)

시즌 3: 6화 "친구들의 3년 전 모습" 줄거리 ▼

재니스가 친구들에게 질문 합니다. 누가 누구와 잤는지 말이죠. 친구들은 그런적 없다고 질색하고 재니스가 질문을 바꿉니다. 누가 누구와 거의 잘뻔 했는지 말이죠. 그렇게 회상장면이 이어집니다.  

When Janice playfully asks the gang if any two of them (other than current couple Ross and Rachel, as well as siblings Ross and Monica) have ever slept together, the gang flashes back to 1993 (one year before the pilot episode), the time when the coffee shop was a bar. The gang's secrets are revealed: Ross and Phoebe nearly had sex on a pool table when the former was depressed after finding out his then-wife, Carol, is a lesbian; Joey mistook Monica's lemonade offer as an advancement and hit on her by getting naked; Chandler tried to hit on Rachel at the bar when he overheard her lamenting to her girlfriends that she might not have anymore casual flings after getting married with Barry. She brushed Chandler off initially, though fantasized about having sex with him while driving later on.

Monica: What are you talking about?

Phoebe, she doesn't know that you sneak out every night. She doesn't know that you sneak back every morning. And she doesn't know that you've been living at your grandmother's for a week now. 언제 모니카에게 집을 나갔다고 얘기할거냐고 로스가 묻자, 피비는 모니카가 어느정도 그것을 알고있을 거라고 답한다. 그러자 로스는 피비가 한밤중에 몰래 나갔다가 아침에 몰래 들어오는 것도 모르고 있다며 사실을 짚어준다.
