시트콤 <프렌즈>를 10회 시청을 목표로 9회 차 정주행 중입니다. 처음에는 10회 차까지 반복하게 되면 무척 질릴 것이라고 생각했습니다. 분명 그런 시간이 있었지만, 이제는 정이 들어서 또 봐도 재밌고, 여전히 새롭게 보이는 부분이 있으며, 시즌10이 끝나면 아쉽기도 합니다. 무엇보다 반복할수록 눈에 들어오는 표현이 많아져 신기하고 보람 있습니다. 정주행 마치면 눈물도 나고요. 이처럼 <프렌즈>와 코드가 어느 정도 맞고, 꼭 반복하겠다는 의지가 충만한데요. 알게 된 어휘와 이디엄 그리고 기억하고 싶은 문장을 기록합니다. :)

시즌 3: 14화 "피비의 옛 친구" 줄거리 ▼
피비를 배신한 옛 친구가 찾아와 화해를 구합니다. 챈들러는 커피하우스에서 예쁜 여성을 만나는데, 그녀는 조이와도 인연이 있었죠.
Phoebe is reunited with her former singing partner Leslie (E.G. Daily), but is offended when Leslie thinks "Smelly Cat" has potential as cat food ad jingle. Chandler dates a woman with a prosthetic leg (Sherilyn Fenn), only to learn she once dated Joey, who accidentally threw her artificial limb into a fireplace. Ross, fed up with Rachel's long work hours, is ecstatic when Mark leaves Bloomingdale's for another job, only to discover he and Rachel are attending a fashion seminar together. To prevent Rachel going with Mark, Ross accompanies her instead, but he quickly falls asleep, causing a fresh argument leaving their relationship on rocky ground.

Okay, Ginger and I had gone out

and then this one weekend,
we went up to her dad's cabin.

Well, that night I cooked
this really romantic dinner--
Monica: You gave her food poisoning!
Joey: I wish. No.
After dinner, me, her, and Pepper,
all fell asleep in front of the fire.
Well, I woke up in the middle of the night
and I saw that the fire was dying out
so I picked up a log and threw it on.
Or at least what I thought was a log.

I know it's dumb,
but I just hate that I'm not a part of it.

I was just thinking and just hoping that maybe you'd want to get back together? 피비와 노래를 같이 불렀지만 배신한 적이 있던 친구는 오랜만에 얼굴을 비추고 피비에게 함께 할 생각없냐며 부추긴다
I can get a quick bite to eat, but then I'm going to have to come back up here. 퇴근길에 찾아온 로스에게 바빠서 다시 후딱 먹고 돌아와야 한다고 전하는 레이첼
Ross: So I nodded off a little.
Rachel: “Nodded off?” Ross, you were snoring.
레이첼이 마크와 들으려고 했던 강의를 굳이 들으러 갔던 로스는 그 시간에 완전 코골며 자고서 집에 돌아와 살짝 졸았다고 둘러댔다가 레이첼에게 깨진다
Honey, see, it doesn't mean that I don't love you, because I do.

But my work, it's for me, you know?
I'm out there on my own, and I'm doing it.
And it's scary,
but I love it because it's mine.
But I mean, is that okay? 최근에 레이첼이 직장에 적응하느라 자신과 멀어지는 것 같다며 자신이 그 일부가 아니어서 싫다고 투덜대는 로스를 달래는 레이첼
It's just like anything else. You just have to get used to it. 챈들러가 자꾸 진저의 인공 다리를 생각하니까 진저가 하는 말
