시트콤 <프렌즈>로 영어공부 하시는 분들 많죠? 저도 벌써 7회차 정주행하고 있네요.
그동안 귀로 듣고, 입으로 말했다면, 이제는 어휘나 문법을 찾아보려고 합니다.
이번 포스팅은 프렌즈 시즌3 :25화 에서 '알아두면 좋을 표현'입니다.
어휘의 경우, 케임브리지 영영사전을 이용하였습니다. ^^
시즌 3: 25화 "바닷가 별장" 줄거리 ▼
부모님의 베프가 산다는 정보를 입수해서 바닷가 몬톡으로 놀러 가게 된 피비와 친구들! 피비는 부모님의 베프를 만나 자신의 이야기를 털어놓고 부모님에 대해 아는 얘기가 있다면 공유해 달라고 부탁합니다. 그러나 중년의 베프 여성은 잠수를 타버리고, 호기심을 이기지 못하고 그녀의 집에 몰래 들어간 피비는 진실을 마주하게 됩니다. 레이첼은 보니와 로스가 마냥 보기가 싫습니다. 그러다 보니가 머리를 밀도록 꼬드기고, 머리를 정말 밀게 된 보니는 모두를 놀라게 합니다. 로스는 보니의 머리를 밀게 한 장본인에 레이첼이 있다는 것을 알고 쫓아와 그녀와 다투고, 그 과정에서 서로에 대한 감정을 알게 됩니다. 그리고 보니와 헤어집니다. 다시 레이첼과 잘 해보려고 하는 와중에, 레이첼이 앞뒤로 빽빽하게 쓴 18장의 편지를 미처 읽지 못하고, 결국 문제가 생깁니다.
Chandler tries proving to Monica that he is "boyfriend material". The gang goes to Montauk for the weekend, but their borrowed beach house is filled with sand after a storm. Phoebe meets the woman, also named Phoebe, who knew her parents. She suspects the elder Phoebe knows more than she is telling, so she breaks into her house looking for information about her father. Elder Phoebe catches her, then confesses that she is Phoebe's birth mother. The gang plays strip Happy Days game, with Joey losing more than his shirt. Rachel and Ross flirt until Bonnie unexpectedly shows up and has loud sex with Ross, making Rachel even more jealous to the point where she convinces Bonnie to shave her head bald again. Ross discovers that Rachel still loves him and may want to reconcile; meaning he must choose between her and Bonnie.
Monica: Would you look at the?

- An unmarried woman is called a spinster.
- Now the spinster wanted to stop being so lonely.
- Lucy, the leather spinster, is proud of herself being single.

- (신조어) 활기차지 않고 피곤한, 몸이 축 처지는
- Feeling off, weird or unsure.
- I am very tired. I am very floopy today.
I guess I lost track of everybody after high school. 피비의 친엄마 피비는 모두와 연락이 끊겼다고 얘기한다
Come on. When you go away, you have to play. 휴가 가면 꼭 알몸 게임을 해야 한다고 말하는 조이

That was her idea. I just gave her a nudge. 보니가 머리를 미는 아이디어에 대해 그저 곁에서 넛지해줬다는 레이첼
Yeah. Because I was mad at you. Not because I stopped loving you. 보니가 머리를 밀도록 넛지를 한 것에 대해 로스와 아웅다웅 하다가 솔직하게 심정을 말한 레이첼
