이번 포스팅은 프렌즈 시즌4 :2화 에서 '알아두면 좋을 표현'입니다.
시즌 4: 2화 "엄마와 고양이" 줄거리 ▼
피비가 길 잃은 고양이를 엄마의 환생이라고 생각, 이에 로스가 고양이가 무슨 엄마냐고 바로잡으려 했다가, 결국 사과하는 에피소드 말이죠. 조이는 가구를 팔아보려고 했다가 예상외로 죄다 도둑맞습니다..^^
Monica runs into Chip Matthews, Rachel's high school prom date, and is thrilled when he asks her out, though it causes tensions between her and Rachel (and ultimately Ross). Monica quickly realises that Chip has never matured beyond high school and dumps him. Chandler forces Joey to sell the entertainment unit that the latter had built after the former keeps ripping his work suit accidentally whenever he brushes against the unit while coming out from his room. A prospective buyer traps Joey inside the unit, then steals most of the guys' furnitures. Phoebe is overjoyed to find a cat that she believes contains her adoptive mother’s (Lily’s) spirit.

Phoebe: Stop it. Stop it.
She keeps squirming and trying to get away.
Just like when she was alive.
Ross: So, Pheebes, how long is your mom
gonna be with us?
Phoebe: Well, I'm not sure.
I mean, I guess untill she, you know,
gets used to the fact that there's
you know, a new mom.
Squirm-squirmed-squirmed :
- move from side to side in an awkward way, sometimes because of nervousness, embarrassment, or pain:
- Nobody spoke for at least five minutes and Rachel squirmed in her chair with embarrassment.
- The fish squirmed on the ground for a few moments and then lay still.

Phoebe: I believe this is my mother.

Ross: I'm sorry.
Phoebe: Okay.
Ross: I don't know what to say.
Rachel: You could say you're sorry to her mom.
Phoebe: I think she would like that.

Mrs. Buffay?
Sorry about what I said.

Ross: Oh, you know, I got an extra futon.
Joey: Dude, you don't hava to brag.
We got nothing here.
Futon:
- a mattress (= large, flat, firm bag filled with soft material and used for sleeping on) which is used on the floor or on a wooden frame that can often be folded to make a seat:
- a futon sofa.
- put futon out in the sun
- In the morning, we clear the futon.
Oh, that's right. He called to ask out Monica. Oh, that's got to be embarrassing. (레이첼을 약올리는 로스)
And the fat girl inside of me really wants to go. I owe her this. I never let her eat. (자신이 칩과 데이트 하는게 중요한 일인지 설명하는 모니카)
...I've really never felt better about myself. (오랜만에 만난 칩이 어떻게 지내냐고 묻자 대답하는 레이첼)
Listen. This cat belongs to a little girl. All right, there are fliers all over the place. (피비에게 고양이가 주인이 있음을 알려주는 로스)
