프렌즈 시즌5 : 8화 영어 표현 I've just had it with, fall for

 

시트콤 <프렌즈>로 영어공부 하신다고요? 저도요.  7회 차 정주행 중인데요. 처음엔 무자막, 그다음엔 영어 자막, 그리고 영어 자막과 한국어 자막을 켜고 보다가, 쉐도잉, 어휘와 이디엄을 찾고 있어요.
이렇게 봐도 봐도 새롭게 보이는 부분도  있고, 아직도 배우는 부분이 있다는 게 놀랍기도 한데요. 서론은 줄이고, 공부하며 알게 된 어휘나 이디엄을 공유할게요. ^^

시즌 5: 8화 "최악의 추수감사절" 줄거리 ▼

로스와 챈들러가 추수감사절에 얽힌 에피소드를 공유하다 보니, 모니카의 최악의 추수감사절까지 밝혀지는데요... 과거 모니카가 실수로 칼을 떨어뜨려서 챈들러의 발가락 하나의 팁이 잘린 일 말입니다. 특히 모니카가 머리에 터키를 얹고 춤을 추는 장면이 정말 재밌답니다...^^

Monica cooks Thanksgiving dinner. After, everyone share stories of their worst-ever Thanksgivings: Chandler learned of his parents' divorce; Joey got a raw turkey stuck on his head; newly-thin, teen-aged Monica accidentally cut off the tip of Chandler's toe with a sharp knife after he called her fat the previous year.

Chandler: No, no, no. I am the king of bad Thanksgiving.
You can't just swoop in here with your
bad marraiage and take that away from me.

Rachel: No, you're not going
to tell the whole story
about how your parents
got divorced again, are you?

Chandler: That's why I lost my toe?
Because I called you fat?

Monica: I didn't mean to cut it off.
It was an accident.

Chandler: That's why for an entire year
people called me Sir Lims-a-lot?

Monica: I'm sorry.
It wasn't your whole toe.

Chandler: Yeah, well, I miss the tip.
It's the best part.
It has the nail.

Monica: Chandler.

Ross: "Sir Limps-a-lot."
I came up with that.

Joey: You're a dork.

 

 

Dork:

1. a person who is physically or socially awkward or not fashionable:

• He's such a dork, but he's a lovely guy.
• I look like a dork when I try to run.

Oh, I'm not falling for that one. (챈들러의 잘린 발가락 끝부분을 주방에서 다시챙겨오겠다고 아빠에게 포르쉐 키를 달라고 한 모니카, 미스터 겔러는 속지 않는다며 키를 안넘겨주려고 한다)
