프렌즈 시즌 5 : 13화 영어 표현 in my defense, I was a lousy father

시트콤 <프렌즈>로 영어공부 하신다고요? 저도요.
10회 시청을 목표로 7회 차 정주행 중인데요. 처음엔 무자막, 그다음엔 영어 자막, 그리고 영어 자막과 한국어 자막을 켜고 보다가, 쉐도잉하고, 어휘와 이디엄을 찾고 있어요. 이렇게 봐도 봐도 재밌고, 새롭게 보이는 부분도  있고, 아직도 배우는 부분이 있다는 게 놀랍기도 한데요. 그만큼 <프렌즈>와 코드가 어느 정도 맞고, 꼭 반복해서 봐야겠다는 의지가 충만해요. 서론은 줄이고, 공부하며 알게 된 어휘나 이디엄을 한 회당 3개 정도 공유할게요. ^^

시즌 5: 13화 "조이의 가방" 줄거리 ▼
피비가 생부와 대화를 하게 되고, 조이가 오디션을 위해 유니섹스 가방을 매던 모습이 인상적이던 에피소드입니다...^^

Phoebe's grandmother dies, and she is shocked when her father, Frank, comes to the funeral. Wanting to know more about him, she arranges an encounter without revealing her identity. Joey wants to look stylish for an upcoming audition, so Rachel helps out, styling him with a "man's bag" as an accessory. Joey loves the bag, but everyone else considers it a purse. Monica is upset that Chandler dislikes her massages, which he finds extremely painful.

Joey: Oh, yeah. There's this play, right?
I'm up for the part of this cool, suave, international guy.

you shouldn't have a bag.
