프렌즈 시즌7: 19화 off the top of my head, have a knack

시트콤 <프렌즈>로 영어공부 하신다고요? 저도 그렇습니다. 10회 시청을 목표로 7회 차 정주행 중입니다. 처음엔 무자막, 그다음엔 영어 자막, 그리고 영어 자막과 한국어 자막을 켜고 보다가, 쉐도잉 하고, 어휘와 이디엄을 찾고 있습니다.
이렇게 봐도 봐도 재밌고, 새롭게 보이는 부분도  있고, 아직도 배우는 부분이 있다는 게 놀랍기도 한데요. 그만큼 <프렌즈>와 코드가 어느 정도 맞고, 꼭 반복해서 봐야겠다는 의지가 충만합니다. 서론은 줄이고, 공부하며 알게 된 어휘나 이디엄을 한 회당 3개 정도 공유합니다. ^^

시즌 7: 19화 "치명적인 사촌" 줄거리 ▼

사촌 캐시가 놀러 와서 모니카의 집에 머뭅니다. 매력적인 캐시에게 푹 빠진 챈들러 때문에 로스네 집으로 가게 됩니다. 웬일인지 로스도 사촌 캐시에게 마음이 가는데요. 함께 와인을 마시며 영화를 보던 와중에 그녀가 시그널을 보낸다고 착각하여 돌발 행동을 합니다. 그녀에게 키스하려고 한 것이죠. 질겁한 캐시는 로스에게 화를 내는데 당황한 로스는 아무 말이라도 하려 했던 나머지 정말 아무 말을 합니다. 여자를 몇 달 동안 못 만났다는 얘기였죠. 결국 캐시는 피비의 집으로 갑니다. 

모니카의 브라이덜 샤워를 위해 레이첼과 피비가 뭉쳤고, 조이의 오디션을 위해 모니카는 식재료를 활용하여 뭔가를 만들어줍니다. 모니카의 브라이덜 샤워는 과연 어떻게 됐을까요?

Ross’s and Monica's gorgeous cousin, Cassie (Denise Richards) visits, and Chandler, Ross, and Phoebe become attracted to her. Rachel and Phoebe throw a last-minute bridal shower for Monica. Joey auditions for a part which is perfect for him, apart from it calling for an uncircumcised actor (which Joey is not). Upon finding out he lied about his 'downstairs' area, Monica tries to fix it so he can still get the part, using a variety of methods including Silly Putty and cold cuts.

Rachel: Hey Pheebs, can I talk to you
over here for a second?

Phoebe: Yeah.

Monica: Subtle, guys. 

Phoebe: What?

Monica: I know you're planning
my surprise bridal shower.

We're supposed to have lunch.

Chandler: Well, get rid of her,
obsessive and shrill!

Ross: Yeah, I have a knack for impressions.

Cassie: Well, maybe after we get re-acquainted,
you could do me.

Well, I'm not sure yet, but... off the top of my head, I'm thinking double-sided tape and some sort of luncheon meat. (그냥 생각나는 대로 말해보는 모니카)
How are you doing on that hot dog? (사촌 캐시에게 핫도그 다 먹었냐고 묻는 로스)
It took you that long to figure it out, huh? (둘이 사촌인거 늦게 알았다는 로스에게 대꾸하는 캐시)
Ask her out! She's not your cousin! (캐시를 보고 반한 피비)
